A polite cat should not be yelled at.

My mom says that I'm in the dog house and I don't know why! I was as POLITE as I could be. See here's what happened. I was sitting in a chair this morning. Just across from mom. It was morning coffee and newspaper time. And I felt this . . . gak attack.

So I TURNED my head! and spewed it out--AWAY from the table.

And she gets all in my face and says very sarcastically, "Gee thanks--just see if I invite you to breakfast again!"

She totally missed that I COULD have aimed at the newspaper.

It's time to play

While everyone is off to work
we can chill out or run run run

It's up to us because we have the house
It's up to us because we have the power

Morning Noon or Night?

Thunderstorms this morning. Rumbly rumbly storms. It was so dark this morning that I didn't know what time it was. I woke up and it being Summer Happenings Time (SHT) I really didn't know if it was morning, noon or evening. Sometimes I do tend to let time get away from me.

~~~~~yawn~~~~~~
(Rolling over and stretching)
Kind of glad I'm not a chipmunk today. They're out there in the wet world. It's MUCH better here.
Cats make the best pirates. YAR
Cats make the best pirates.
We naturally do not understand any possessives other than "mine."
We are sneaky and cunning and know how to laugh in the face of danger. (I was walking on the upstairs hall railing and singing yesterday!!!)
We are good at fighting--we are wily and cunning and fast as lightening!
When we appropriate things we hide them immediately. Under the couch, the rug, the buffet, the bed, the radio, the TV cabinet . . . we're good at hiding things.
Of course we love parrots.
Not so wild about the gold earrings, though. In our experience, you don't want to have jewelry on that catch and be torn out when you're in a good fight.
And of course we love Ponies. And since all pirates GET ponies to take with them on the ships, I think that is a natural conclusion that cats make the best pirates.
Horoscope
I'm a Virgo.
My SELF Magazine horoscope says:
Tense? Stop worrying. A daunting situation may simply need a well-timed intervention. (Tiger is sitting in my favorite CHAIR!!!!) Cure cabin fever with a last minute trip or an enlightening summer class, whether it's Shakespeare or Thai cooking. The 20th is my lucky day for romance.
Hmmmm . . . Shakespeare.
To Thine Own Self Be True . . . .
A tropical fort.
I do so enjoy scrapbooking.
English actresses
I was watching "All Creatures Great and Small". They have cows and pigs on that show. Last night there was a kitten. She was a pretty good actress. I wanted to see that part again, she has such a cute accent . . . really cute! I wanted to know here name, but she wasn't credited at the end of the show.
I will try and google it later. She's REALLY cute.
No ponies, though. There was one in a show a couple days ago. It had a sore hoof. But the vet made it all better and the pony was happy.
I think that if I got a pony, I could write to that cute little kitten and invite her over for a ride around the neighborhood. And everyone would come out and bring cat treats, wanting to talk to the cute little kitten from England.
~~sigh~~
Waiting for my Medal of Honor. (Last night I saved mom and dad's life by alerting them to a giant spider trying to take a bath in the tub.)
What you think of yourself
Someone sent me an email and said that I was NOT the most wonderful cat in all the world.
Hah!
A very great cat called Seneca once said, (and I quote!) "What you think of yourself is much more important than what others think of you."
I believe in me.
And I believe that even if YOU don't recognize me as the most wonderful cat in all the world . . . that you will. It is inevitable. I am living and moving and evolving and becoming what I visualize and I visualize with all my heart that I am the most wonderful cat in the world.
I think it. Therefore I BECOME it. And then I AM it!
Sweet Sweet Victory
I made it!
I'm in the bedroom.
Now how do I get out?
Monday, August 08, 2005
Oh pardon me . . . didn't realize this was freshly folded laundry I'm napping on.
Daily Affirmations
I am strong.
I am beautiful.
I am smart and cunning and a good friend.
I am athletic and graceful.
I am wise.
I am unique in all the world.
There are no others like me.
I am the best at being ME.
Training
I am in training.
My sport is called the door dash.
First I have to position myself in a direct vector to the open door.
Next I have to STAY AWAKE!
When the door opens, I have just an instant to turbo sprint past the feet, by the door and INTO the bedroom.
I like the bedroom. There's a soft cushy bed there. There are windows with the Bird Channel, Chipmunk Channel, Storm Channel and Wind Channel. (for some reason the snow channel is off the air . . . must have had poor ratings.)
I like the bedroom because there are cat toys in there. Soft squooshing earplugs. Jewelry that sparkles and makes noise when you bat it off the dresser and under the bed.
There are books to read (though turning pages is a PAIN!)
For some reason they try to keep me OUT of the bedroom. Something about cat hair and allergies.
I am who I am.
And I am a cat who wants to sleep on the bed.
So I am in training. For the mad door dash.
Right now I'm winning 30% of the time.
Pony Forts
I have a pony fort.
It is in the living room. It's big. Has 2 stories.
I can get on top and be a scout looking for ponies.
I can go inside and plan how I will take care of my ponies.
I can sit in the doorway of the fort and talk to people about ponies.
It is great having a pony fort.
Now if I only had some ponies.
