me me me me

I am suspicious

Jim is going through is boxes and stacks of stuff from school. But he isn't taking all of it out of the boxes. Some of it he's repacking.

I asked him, "What are you doing?"

And he said, "You're a lovey dovey cat this morning."

And I said again, "WHAT are you DOING!" and he picked me up and scratched me behind the ears. It felt wonderful and I forgot what I was asking him.

After a nap I remembered. HEY . . . I think he's planning to move out!

There has been no garage sale, though . . . so maybe it's just more school.

Jim said something about "High energy particle physics". Hah . . . like they'd let cats work on that stuff . . . oh . . . he meant JIM not Dougal . . . .

I'm going to have to get to the bottom of this.

Cool Day

I slipped out of my collar yesterday morning.
So it was a cool day . . .

Until Dad came home and put the collar back on me!

Top Gear

We were watching some Top Gear last night and I realized that this show doesn't really have a script. There are portions that are like "essays of tribute to automobiles" and then there's the part where Jeremy says things like, "I wish I could tell you what this FEELS like." giggle of delight "WOO HOO POWERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!"

I hope they don't need cue cards for stuff like that.

I heard from my best friend Eddy over the weekend. His mom and Dad came home from being away and he was anxious to tell them everything that went on while they were gone and so he was following his Dad out into the hallway and when his Dad came back--he shut the door! And Eddy was still in the apartment hallway. So he raised his voice and said, "HEY! You left me in the hallway!"

nothing

"I don't like being in the hallway!"

nothing

"I am NOT an outdoor cat! MOM MOM MOM MOM MOM MOM MOM . . ."

Eventually his mom and dad realized that he was missing. It was pretty scary for him.

Luckily he got some good sardines and lots of love.

Everyone knows that when you're stressed out you need sardines and lots of love.

Movie Reviews

I watched a lot of movies over the weekend. Turns out I missed the cat show in Wyandotte, but that's okay. Celebrity brings it's own burdens. True, I missed meeting some famous models, but . . . that's life.

SO . . . Movie reviews.

Chicken Little. . . . . This is preposterous. Not a good movie. Ugly duckling was very ugly and there were no cats. HOW do you make an animal movie and NOT have cats. I was insulted.

Post Concussion . . . . an indy film from 1999. Found it in the comedy aisle. Like a low budget Office Space, it has a certain independent filmesqueness to it. The main character was very interesting and I was willing to overlook the bad acting in some parts--HE was good, his friends (who were playing multiple roles) were not so good. It looked like a college buddy film that made it to distribution. But it was witty and fun and I enjoyed it.

Walk the Line . . . Any man that wears black is clearly a man of class. I enjoyed the movie a lot, even though I'm not a country music fan. To think of Johnny Cash touring with Elvis, Buddy Holly and Jerry Lee Lewis was kind of fun--I wouldn't have put them together in a show--but it seemed to work.

I especially liked the part where June, her mom and dad run off the drug dealer with shot guns. She seemed too pretty to carry a gun . . . but apparently all country girls get guns. Something to remember.

She liked to fish too. I think she would have made a very good friend.

So now I have to wait until DaVinci Code comes out on DVD. I read the book and it was . . . interesting. Sort of a road rally through Paris and London. I like Road Rallys. Hope they have good "extras" on the DVD. I don't get to travel much and I would very much like to see the Mona Lisa.

PS . . . I'm MUCH better at codes than those idiots.

Mother's Day

Dear Mom,

I love you lots. You are a nice person who buys sardines just because I love them. You hold me even when I've walked on the kitchen table in front of company. You hold me even when instead of jumping down off the table when you say, "Dougal not in front of company" I gak up some black plastic bag on the table instead.

You love me. You call me "~~nice~~" when I do things like that.

I love you too.

Happy mother's day!

Baby pix

Well it looked like they had lost all my baby photos. but it turns out that many of them were burned to a disk--so they still exist.

Friday, May 05, 2006

I had nothing to do with it!

The computer crashed and the fixitguyz got some of the data back--but not my photos. All my photos on the harddrive are gone.

I didn't do it! Seriously I didn't do it . . . and now . . . there are no more photos of me. I am very very sad.

Oh wait. We can take MORE photos!

May Day

Spring is surely here. It's May Day after all.
The weekend was lovely dovely--Dad let me nap on his lap. There were squirrels and birds to watch and mom came in from the garden with the most peculiar smells on her jeans.

All in all it was a 2 top gear, 1 James Bond and a little bit of homeshows weekend. The BEST! OH, and Dad watched Star Trek movies too.

And there was FISH! I forgot to mention that. Fish on Friday (trout on the grill) and Fish on Sunday (fried perch in the frydaddy fryer.)

This morning there was some mumbling about, "I have GOT to lose some weight" but that didn't come from me.

I love spring.

It is aMAZing when you stop and watch it.
