Jack Sparrow?

Yep. It's Captain Jack.
Mom thinks that some of the people in the crowd across the other side are from Clarkston too. We're going to print the picture and ask.
Wouldn't that be funny?

Mom said she saw Jesus at Epcot

Here's proof!

Green screen effects

Mom said she was wearing a green shirt when she and Val went to Epcot's Innoventions. So when the computer puts the background in . . . it put it on her shirt too! Weird.

Mom said she was going on a business trip

This DOES NOT look like a business trip to me!

Time Travel

I was rereading parts of my blog yesterday . . . it was like time travelling. But without writing this stuff down, I wouldn't have remembered it.

Oh, and the pictures are INSTANT time travelling. There need to be more pictures of me. Seriously.

Time

For some reason my blog was set to record time in the Pacific time zone . . . but I'm not IN the Pacific Time Zone.

So I changed it.

Snowy Friday evening

I'm watching and waiting for Dad to get home from work. It's snowing outside. I know that he's listening to NPR in the car. I listen to NPR too. I especially like Science Friday. I learn so much.

Dad told me that if there's enough snow tonight, he will make snow cats with me tomorrow. I love Dad. He's so silly. Like I have ANY intention of putting my precious paws in that cold wet snow! Ha!

I saw an ad on TV for that penguin movie again. Dad said it's not out on DVD yet and that there are RULES about cats going to the movie theater. I have to wait until it comes out on DVD.

It looks really good, though. I like penguins. And they're dancing. I like dancing penguins. I want a dancing penguin. I think a dancing penguin would make a really fine friend.

Happy Work Anniversary Mom!

Yesterday was Mom's 10th anniversary at her job. It was also an icy day. There was no power at work but she had an appointment around noon so she went off to it never realizing that the Board of Directors, Ambassadors, Committee Chairs, Office staff and DAD!!!! had all conspired to hold a surprise party for her to celebrate.

Mom was surprised. There were even Mickey Mouse hat cookies that said "Happy 10 Ears!"

It was really sneaky because when mom left the house to go to her meeting, Dad was in his jeans--but when she got to the surprise--he was THERE and in a SUIT! Very tricky. I've never seen Dad get changed so quickly. I offered to help with his tie, but he said, "Thanks, Dougal. I got it covered. I'll be doing that part in the car!"

It's nice to be loved and appreciated.

It's FRIDAY!!!!!

Happy happy cat dance!
It's Friday and Mom AND Dad will be home this weekend. I heard them whispering last night and they are going to have a fire in the fireplace. I LOVE fires in the fireplace. They are so roasty toasty warm.
And that means they aren't going to be going out and about--because you have to watch a fire and enjoy a fire.
So THAT means they're going to be lounging around, reading the paper and maybe even playing Disney Scene It!
Oh Great Day!!!! I Love games!
I love lazing around!
I love toasty fires!

This is going to be the best best best weekend so far this week!

I'm so tired

I have just been EXHAUSTED lately. I'm so tired I'm not even sleeping on Dad's lap, because he gets up and wakes me up. I've been sleeping on the chair in the TV room . . .

~~yawn~~~~

It must be winter. I have no energy to do much of anything. Even purr.

The only thing that would be better would be if someone made a fire in the fireplace!

Happy New Year

Well it WOULD be a happy new year. Except Jim is gone back to school and took the ENTIRE FISH CHANNEL TV with him. He told me, "Dougal, this is my aquarium and if I don't take it home mom will forget to feed the fish and then it will be an all dead fish channel and we can't have that!"

I'd watch it. Even if it were and all dead fish channel.

Jon went home on Tuesday. He took his GPS unit with him so I will never have an idea how many satellites are tracking my every move. (one night it was 7!)

Dad is out taking down Christmas lights.

He started a new job this year--but he's still gone the same amount of time. What good is a new job if you still don't have a pony and you're still gone all that time?

Mom went back to work too and she told me I was getting fussy. That there are lots of things to watch on the squirrel channel and the bird channel and that I don't need someone around keeping me company ESPECIALLY when I sleep allllllllllllllll day.

You would think after all these years that they would understand me by now.

But they don't.

I'm sad.

Even the Catmus tree is down. No more playing fort under the branches. No more cat toys just hanging around for entertainment. And no pretty twinklie lights keeping us company in the middle of the night.

Happy New Year . . .

I can't wait for Spring when we can open up the back door and get lots of fresh air again.
