Thanksgiving

I am thankful for:
a warm home
comforting laps to nap on
soft voices telling me stories of great cats of history
friends who like to play
music that can lull you to sleep
music that can make you dance!
secret forts
the love of my mom and dad
the love of my brothers

I am thankful
for being a cat in this life.

Because THIS life is pretty nice.

I have secret powers

The other night people were here having coffee. I thought they were being here tooooooooooooo long. So I turned down the lights.

Boy were THEY surprised!

Napping

Napping.

I have been reading a book about napping, but it keeps putting me to sleep. It talks about the joys of napping, the lovely comfy goodness of a bed, or a patch of grass, or a tree, or the beach.
How comfortable it is to stretch in bed.
How sweet it is to nestle in fresh sheets.
How delicious it is to wake up and go back to sleep. It brings a smile to my face--because that's what cats do best.

Nap.

Weather

I am quite happy with the change in the weather. The other night there was a big wind and it blew all the leaves down. Oh that was so much fun! Watching those leaves! Tring to chase the ivy that was swinging by the side dining room window.

I am a happy cat now that Mom and Dad are home again.

And it was VERY nice to cuddle up with Jim when he came home this weekend to do his laundry.

~~sigh~~

I like Fall. It is followed by the white season and as a cat who enjoys roasting by the fireplace, I am really looking foward to the white season. It is the best!

You would not believe what he SAID to me!

Daylight Savings Time

I do not like daylights savings time. Nobody tells cats about these things. It was 6:10 and I still hadn't heard mom and dad up --I know they have to go to work so I knocked at the door and reminded them that it's time to get up.

Turns out . . . it's only 5:10 a.m. . . . mom was nice about it, but I was soooooooooooo embarassed. I mean really . . . I'm a cat not a watch dog. I didn't know they messed with time like this.
