Can you hear me now?

Dad and Jon are playing Tiger Woods Golf on the xbox 360 . . . and Jon's headset died, so mom put him on the speaker phone.
Mom . . . I think that's Jon in the little stick box.

Pirate Treasure!

Here's a tip for all you pirates out there.

If you tip over the scratching post, all of the cat nip that's fallen down will be exposed--like TREASURE, just waiting for you to roll around in it.

Here's another tip.
Even if you really really really NEED to yowl about it, keep you mouth SHUT! because if you announce your treasure to the world, OTHERS will want to share!

Apparently not right now . . . .

Mom! Can I help you cook dinner?

I know it's crab salad, but I really think sardines would really perk the flavor up.

What do you mean you don't want my help anymore?

I'm SHOCKED!

I'm such a good helper. How can she just REFUSE my help?

Mom . . . . your salad will never make Gourmet Magazine. Just so you know.

TGIF

It's the weekend
It's the weekend
Happy happy cat dance

Time for naps
Time for snacks
Time for scratches on my back

Yippee Yippee
Skippee Skippee
Dad's coming home!!

Mom and Dad are having the house painted and it's been kind of interesting watching the guys move the ladders and scrape the windows.
I tried to spook them and jump up on the table while they were scraping the outside window, but I think they couldn't see me . . . .or . . . they could be onto my tricks.

The weather is supposed to be okay for tonight, but a chance of a thunderstorm. This doesn't sound like fun. Mom has Concerts in the Park. It's the first one of the season. So . . . it should be a wee bit stressful.

But just a wee bit.

Rope . . .she needs to remember to get rope for the banners.
And write the band introductions . . . that would be a good thing . . . .

So much to do . . . so little time.

But it's the WEEKEND!!! Yippee Skippee!!!

Happy Bday (belated) Jon Jon

I didn't realize I was off line so long. There was this power outage and then Mom was running a 5K and she forgot to sign me on.

Anyway, happy birthday Jon! I hope you had a most wonderful birthday.

I am making plans for my birthday already. I am sending invitations to some french Chats and ordering a yogurt cake and grilled sardines. We're going to watch the Cat from Outer Space, play Disney Scene It and maybe some Run Run Run or Twister.

Doesn't that sound like a great plan?

And after that, I will be old enough to take Driver's Ed. FINALLY

Whoa . . . somebody turn the air back on

Tuesday, June 10, 2008

Thank you DTE

The storms left most of the town without power.
But WE have power.
So mom is home and she's cleaning.

There's no power at work yet . . . and the stop lights are out. So traffic is slow and messy.

I asked mom if we could play cat games and she told me, maybe later. After some chores first.

CHORES?

WHO does chores on a "Snow Day?"

Sheesh . . . .

Dr. Leaky

Mom's cleaned the carpet 3 times on the stair landing.
She thinks it's me . . . but doesn't know for sure.

This morning she almost caught someone . . . who shall remain nameless.

She put the fan upright and was going to turn it back on the carpet to keep it drying and . . . there was a warm wet spot on the carpet.

She glared at me and I hightailed it to the kitchen where I nosed around in the box she's sending to Jon. . . just nibbling on the plastic bag . . .

I could hear her clean the carpet . . . again . . . and I felt bad for her having to do that even before she's had a cup of coffee.

It really is too bad that SOMEONE has issues and can't pee where they're supposed to.

mom even cleaned the litter boxes last night. All of them . . . and it's nice clean fresh litter.

I just don't know WHY anyone of us would have issues with that and feel the need to stand on the fallen box fan and pee through the blades.

The fan went in the trash. Mom said she had no desire to try and clean it up.

I feel sorry for mom.

I mean, don't get me wrong, she could be nicer. She could give us cat food two times a day instead of once. She could let us sleep on the big bed. She could freshen up the catnip on the scratching post and all . . . . but overall she doesn't deserve psychotic kitties.

And clearly at least one of us is psychotic.

I'm know who it is, but I'm not telling.

A poem for a foggy morning in June

Gray misty foggy morning
Lonesome train calling in the distance
No sardines for breakfast
again
Sad sad morning for cats.

It is so hard to get good help around here.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE PONIES

Pony Pictures

Mom and Dad went out on Saturday and saw lots of Ponies but they didn't take a camera!
I told mom, please please please, if you're not going to get me a pony, at LEAST get me a Pony Picture!

They saw a lifesize statue of a Pony.
They saw an old Mobile Gas Station Flying Pony.
They saw a lady and her daughter riding ponies on the way back from getting some ice cream. (I wonder if they gave the ponies some ice cream too?)
They saw some English riders exercising their ponies before a competition.
They saw young ponies with their moms in the field.

It was a perfect Pony day and NO PICTURES!

She didn't even watercolor a pony picture for me.

She's mean!
