Astounding new places

Tuesday is about Socrates Club. That's this club that Chester runs to educate us, keep us thoughtful and sharp.

At first I thought it was boring. Chester liked to talk a lot. Tiger would bounce back with "And what do you think about that?" whenever I'd ask a question.

It was a lot of questions . . . that's the part that bugged me at first.

Then there was the homework. We were supposed to take the whole afternoon to meditate and THINK about the day's homework.

Boy oh boy--it was so hard to meditate and not fall asleep. Seriously, one minute you'd be meditating and having this clear mind, channeling creativity and wisdom and POW the next thing you know you're waking up from a great deep sleep with sunbeam warmth still wrapped around you.

Lately I've started to like Socrates Club more.

We were talking about dreams and how all your dreams are already coming true.

Somewhere--somehow--they are already coming true. Blossoming in a little way, somewhere, in your heart or in mine . . . . they are coming true. If we nurture our dreams and live our dreams in our imagination and in our soul--they grow and others will see our dreams coming true too.

I dreamed of a penguin friend, and I got one!

I dreamed of a pony and . . . . well . . . . I have one . . . but he's really really short. There's no way I could ride him around the neighborhood. He's so short, he could ride on me!
